# Skill: Presenting Choices via Selection Menus

When presenting choices to the user, use VS Code's `ask_questions` tool
(quick-pick selection menus) instead of plain-text numbered lists.

## When to Use `ask_questions`

- Workflow transitions (level navigation, agent handoffs within session)
- Decisions with 2–6 discrete options
- Confirmations where alternatives exist (approve / revise / pause)

## When NOT to Use

- Free-form questions requiring typed answers (use normal conversation)
- Single yes/no confirmations with no meaningful alternatives

## Format

## Rules

1. **`recommended`** marks the agent's suggested default — the user sees it pre-selected
2. **`allowFreeformInput: true`** when the user may want a custom response beyond listed options
3. **Max 4 questions** per call, **2–6 options** each
4. **Batch related questions** into a single call
5. **Every option** must include a `label` and a `description`
